OK, who here has a Edge Racing torque converter in their Mark VIII? I know MarkofDeath has the 3500 from them and Geno has used them before. Anyone else, what do you think of their quality and performance?

I gots me one!

Quality? Being a well known Torque converter expert (read sarcasm), I can tell you the quality looks.. good? Hell, I don't know! but the welds seems to be well done. It looks a lot solider (is that a word?) than the OEM converter.

Performance? Dunno yet, bought the damned thing in march, and it's been sitting in it's box ever since. It will be installed on the 18th of Sept when the rebuilt :D engine goes in.

Ok, I'm curious about what diameters you guys are running???
I'm not sure what stock is, 11" I think, but I can understand the consept of a smaller one, so your revs come up faster, so how about economy??(bad word??), would a larger mass get better highway millage???

I don't see why or how, since they maintain lock-up function.

Well I know the marks have an 11" converter and that its better then thunderbirds because the thunderbirds have a larger torque converter I believe. They upgrade to the mark viii tc from what i see at tccoa.

The Edge Racing street edge converters are 9.5 inch.

I have one. mine is a 3200 stall, I overly thought it was a good choice. You'll notice the second you drive it with your new converter in how much difference it makes. For me at least, it brought a new life to the car and much more stop light action.
