CE Light. help needed!

On my way home from dropping my buddys off at the airport, my CEL came on. I am worried as to what it is, and I couldn't even imagine a problem.

Is there some type of... self-diagnostic that you can do to see the problem, and match the code with something else like you can do with the EATC? I plan on replacing my 02 sensors considering I have 80,000 miles and I don't think that they have ever been replaced. Those and the fuel filter to also try and get better than 10.7 MPG. If anyone can help, that would be great.

You need to get the codes checked to see what the problem is. There is no sense in throwing money away when it might not be the 02 sensors. If you have a 93-95 Mark VIII, you can get a scanner for ~$30 and check yourself. If OBD2, you can buy a scanner but it is much more expensive, or take it in to a shop.

The thing with the 02 sensors is, they have never been replaced before. That could be one of the reasons why my gas milege has been so poor. I stopped having a led foot, even thought I love the sound the car makes.

Autozone will read it for free? Good stuff. I'll be there tomorrow. Thanks guys.
