I am leaning toward this route as I have found a set for a good price and will probably buy in the next few days. I figure I can sell the new strut I have and get part of the money back. Anyway, what do I need to get rid of to have just rears working with the compressor? I know I will have an air ride message, but having the car driveable is more important right now.

Anyone have a clue, and is there any car that would do this swap other than than the aftermarket? I do not want to pay a huge price for something I can get in a junkyard.

What year is you're Continental? If it's an 88-94 Taurus or sable springs can work from the Junkyard the are basically a direct bolt in I beleive. I do not know exactly how the conversion goes though. hmmm, there may be a thread about it in the archives somewhere.

Try this. It's you're best bet for coil conversion IMHO.

Does anybody know how well the Taurus/Sable conversion works? Does it ride ok? How about ride height?

I'm looking at used right now because of cost considerations, but I am interested in the taurus conversion if it is a direct bolt in.

I am not totally sure, I remember a thread about, but I cannot find it. I do remember hearing that the taurus sable conversion is a good cheap solution but I personally think that the Conti's would be to heavy for the Sable and Taurus springs. since the other two cars are so much lighter.

How do you get the warning lights and chime to go off?

I went ahead and bought the front conversion, $115 shipped was too good of a deal to pass on.
