I had the mechanic punch out my 2 cats that come off each exhaust manifold and put in new O2 sensors. It was a last minute thing, I got the 2 uppers for free(motorcraft) and had to buy the 2 lowers (Bosch). Again I've read so much I'm exhausted to look for all the info again. will either of these things create problems for me? Thanks for any insight.

You should be OK, although if it throws a code for poor catalyst performance you know why.

you will trip a cat moniter (the second set of o2's usually blue connectors) code due to the cats not being there. i havent used any myself maby someone on here has but they make "mil eliminators" that plug in line with the cat moniters and fool the computer check around on summit under 4.6 mustang stuff

A Gen 1 wouldent have this issue would it if I got rid of the the cats of the manifolds. Would it trip a code, Gen 1s only have 2 instead of 4 sensors on each.
