Looking at Getting HIDS 8000k or 10k?napoleon1072 June 12th, 2006, 04:12 PM Topic says it all b34nz June 12th, 2006, 04:14 PM Get the 6000k Most factory HID's come in 4300 I think. If you get the 6000k's, they will look better than almost all factory HID's. But if you go over 6000k, you start to get the rice look because they start getting a heavy blue tint to the light. But if you like a blue light then go for it... napoleon1072 June 12th, 2006, 04:16 PM blues good :D I just want the best possible one I can get that increases my visibility and is better then my xenon bulbs that im running now b34nz June 12th, 2006, 04:19 PM The lower the bulb number the brighter, far as I know. The 4300k's are brighter than the 6000k's. The 6000k's are brighter than the 8000k's, and so on. I guess you sacrifice color of the light for actual brightness. gt95coupe June 12th, 2006, 04:20 PM Topic says it all I personaly dont think 8k or 10k looks rice...Look at the bmws and MB. in your town they have a purple look to them. But I have heard that if you go more than I think 6k you start losing light on the road napoleon1072 June 12th, 2006, 04:27 PM i'm looking at getting a kit from Xenonking.com has anyone purchased from there? I'd like hids that are very bright but still have some blue in them :shifty: does the 6000k have blue tint? b34nz June 12th, 2006, 05:09 PM Yeah, when you look at them oncoming, or standing from outside the car, they have a blue tint. But from inside the car, they show up as pure hyper white. b34nz June 12th, 2006, 05:09 PM I would take pics but it's pointless. You cant take a pic of your headlights because it never looks right in the pic... | ||||
