I tried to clean the lens on my HID's and I noticed that the grime was on the inside. I always thought that the lights are sealed. I just noticed on the auction site that a guy is selling what he calls a HID lens. So my question is, is it possible to clean the inside of a HID light?
Thanks for any help,
Greg

Not without disassembling them.
No reflector or projectors lights are actually sealed. They all have vents to let out any possible condensation.

So, what is the difference between the HID lense and the Halogen lense?
And, why hasn't Ford at least improved the quality of the new- replacement Halogen headlight assemblies? They've had 14 years to build them correctly. You'd think they could have addressed that defect by now.

im gonna just go ghetto and throw some tinfoil in there lmao I hate the fact theres nothin we can do except pay out of the ass for headlights for a 10 yr old car that 5 yrs down the line are gonna have the same problem. I member while back someone threw them in the oven to unseal them then cleaned it out has anyone tried this themselves?

Why would Ford improve the halogen lenses? They are making money hand and fist with the HID kits.
