i should have done this when i bought it. instead i waited a month. holy crap what a difference. forget the chip. forget wheels or lowering it. go order the parts and do it now. total cost with the spring i didnt use was 62 bucks. more than worth it.

i drilled to 300hp specs and left out the 1-2 bottom spring. (i ordered it just in case it was too firm.)

i dont want to guess what this will do to my 1/4 times but im sure it helped. 1-2 and 2-3 shifts are instant now. stock...it thinks about shifting then in the middle of the shift i think it forgets what it was doing. that 2-3 shift at 1000' sucks when it takes that long.

as for the inside of my valve body....perfect. 1-2 accum springs were perfect.

With no lower spring it must feel pretty crazy on the 1-2 shift... it should help your 1/4 mile by 1 tenth at least.

I left out the lower spring on my old '95 (no J-Mod at all) and you're right, that 1-2 shift is nuts. Chirps the tires everytime, even at part throttle. I gave the car to my old man and he hates that 1-2 shift lol

Does thta F up your tranny? Why would you want to chirp the tires all the time even just driving normally, I can see full throttle but even at part throttle, thats crazy, lol.

driving like im 75 and forgot how to use the gas pedal it doesnt chirp but it is a REAL quick firm shift. anything over 25% or so and it will squeak the rears.
