no offense there "rollinls", but I don't think many of those cars are even in the same class as your lincoln. I absolutely love your ride, but those other ones that appear in the picture with yours are usually not even close to being of the same quality...

Thats just to Rollin's advantage. Great job on your 100th 1st place, haha :)

Not many cars can compete with that.

None taken.

I was in Custom Car Wild(non-sport compact). Its an open class. So anything could get into it.

Few years ago I had my Beretta in that class(before they did sport compact classes). I took second. List of cars in the class:'51 Ford(1st), '01 PT Cruiser, '32 Ford(3rd), '38 Chevy, few other cars I don't recall years, but a Malibu, Corvariar(spelling wrong).

Usually trophies are the norm. BUT this year I have won three plaques already. I have only won four plaques total in three years on showing.

I feel pretty good about my chances. Very few modified domestic luxury cars in my area. The few I have seen have usual mods, stereo and rims/tires. Only real concern for me is a new car showing up with low to no miles. Clean wins. Hard to beat a car that right off the showroom floor.

I attended the NOPI Nationals in Atlanta, GA back in 2004. I came in second in my class. Don't know what beat me since there were 4,000 cars that entered the event. The only bad thing about a NOPI event is that they have so many cars to judge and the person judging your car may not be the same person judging the entire class. That makes the judging very subjective since one persons taste may be totally different than the other person.

I recommend if you have never been to a NOPI Nationals in Atlanta, GA in September you need to go. There are more cars there than you'll ever want to see. Unbelievable!

I talked to a guy with an amazing car at the car show this weekend, he was fully sponsored by some body shop, so his car was perfect. He said that some of the people including himself, take their car apart as much as possible and clean it before their big shows. wheels, all bolt on accessories, engine components, any plastic covers, seats, console, even fully polish their exhaust from header to tail pipe, all underbody. always have mirrors. hey good luck at nopi, i wouldnt even have a chance unless i repainted my whole car and replaced the factory chrome pieces on the bumpers.

ya.. everyshow in my area I get stuck in domestic.. or luxury.. considering the 300 is a me too car, i wrote a letter to the NCCA sayin that its not right.. they have a:
Domestic, Chrysler, Ford, Caddy, Caddy SUV, 4 door car, luxury car, and Lincoln SUV class for best cars.. but they dont have just "best lincoln".. no response.. i told a friend of mine to send a letter too.. (the black LS wit bags and 22's on cardomain) but nothing ever happened.. maybe we can take a look at it again?

The judges taste should have nothing to do with the judging score. Proper judging is on workmenship, clean, and mods. I have judged many car shows. I never let my personal likes or dislikes miss with my judgement. I may hate the color of the car, BUT the paint job might be perfect. Why penalize a person for there color choice. Good workmanship and clean wins.

He is :q:q:q:qing with me.:) I have had severl people at shows think the LS is a rootbeer/brown color. The WOW show in St Louis I had people I know mistake the car for brown. At one show, it was overcast. I had several people ask me about my BROWN LS.
