Has anyone had a problem with their airbag? My airbag light is blinking. Ocassionally I will drive for a while with no indication. But then out of the blue, the light will blink again. Any solutions for this problem?

How many blinks are you getting? I'll see if I can find anything about it on my All Data CD for you in a little while..

It's probably flashing a "code". Count the number of flashes, and pauses. For example: 5 flashes, pause 1 flash= code 51, which means your airbag computer is toast, IIRC.
Checking the connectors at the sensors is a good place to start.

are you sure its not 2 blinks, a short pause, and another blink, then a long pause and repeats?
thats how it tells you codes, its kinda like Morse code. blink( X times) short pause, blink( X times) long pause, repeat.
check this for the codes

Ok, so it is actually code 33. So what does that mean "Passenger side air bag high resistance or open in circuit". How do I fix this?

When I first picked up my Mark it flashed a few times when I started it the first time. After that never again. Good to know that if it happens again I can find out what the problem is.

High resistance/open circuit means it's not connected right, so I'd start by checking the connections and wires themselves.

My friends is throwing that code how do you fix the air bag computer? Also does that computer have anything to do with the message center because that doesnt work on his car either same can be said for the air compressor.

This morning when I left for work, the airbag light came on and flash three times, stopped then flashed three times again. This went on for about five minutes. When I glanced down at it a few minutes later, I noticed that it was not flashing anymore. Is the system set to check itself and fix itself. Later it will probably flash again. Does this mean that the airbag needs to be replaced perhaps?

You don't fix it. It needs to be replaced. This happened in my Contour.
I had a 41 that I let go too long, and it fried it.

Check and clean the connections. See if it helps.

Can it be replaced without pulling the dash?

I don't know where the computer is located on Mark, but the sensors should be in the front bumper area. If I were at home I could check the manual, but I am sure someone else here will know.

Mine blinks several times (forgot to count this morning), but then it stays lit for the duration of the drive. I guess I'm really screwed, huh? If not, does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
