I've had my LS 2002 V8 for 2 months. So far so good. I'm loving it, great handling, acceleration is great and it looks awesome. But yessterday and today i ran into some trouble. I turn the car on and I can't move it out of park. It's happened 2 times once yesterday and today. I tured the engine off and turned it back on still nothing...i hit the gas and steeped on the break. And then miracously it let me get out of the Park?
Thanx in advance..

P.S looks like i a cool forum and since i love my lincoln i think i will be posting often.

I have had that happen once in my 84' LSC. Mine was a simple fix. Bcoz the shifter boot would wiggle its way up and when you would press the button it would not come in contact with the linkage.

Welcome aboard. This is a problem I have seen happen a lot on cars that require you to depress the brake to shift out of park. That sounds like your problem, as after stepping on the pedal your problem went away. I would start by investigating that aspect of the vehicles system.
