'missing' v6

Hello guys (and gals),
My LS/V6 has mysteriously started to 'miss'. It feels a lot like a dirty injector or a fouled plug. It seems to be worse each time I start up and drive. Is there some chronic problem that is peculiar to this motor that would cause these symptoms, you know, something every other LS owner on the planet knows about but me? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

You probably have bad coils. Is your CEL on? I had that on my V6 and I had the coils and the spark plugs changed and now it's fine.

My CEL is not on. But, I was afraid it might be coils. It could be something as simple as a fouled plug. I once had a '90 Mazda MX-5 that acted this way. The problem with it was the crankshaft! I'm not expecting anything quite that drastic.

Oddly, it runs OK until you give it a lot of throttle. It behaves like one of the wires is not making full contact all of the time or, like it has bad points, even thouhg I know it doesn't even HAVE points. Maybe I'll try and change the wires and plugs and see if that works.

there's no wires either. These cars use COP's

...oops! Oh well....I guess I'd have been looking for those wires for quite a while.:eyeroll: Anyway, the check engine light finally came on today so, I guess it's off to the mechanic.....

I've got the same year and the 6. What I had was oil where the plugs sits...I had the coil replaced and I will have the valve cover gasket replaced soon...apparently its a common problem with the v6 and the v8's alike...
