so i had my shift kit installed today. car drives great. I provided all fluid (merc v) and filter. I gave them 15 quarts. When I got the car back, they had only used 10 quarts - I thought the car holds 13.5 quarts???

i have a sneaking suspicion that they didn't drain the tq converter and now i have 3 quarts of mercon mixed in there with my mercon v :(

i have read some other people who have done fluid changes and the tranny took 10.5 quarts...is this possible?

mine took 10.5 and i drained the tc

damn - that's a relief - maybe we should correct our tech article that says 13.5! it made me panic....

I honestly don't remember how much it was. it's been about 2 years since I changed it. 10.5-12.5 quarts sound about right. but that's why I go by the dip stick and not a set amount.
