I blew my rear 2 speakers, it was suggested I get a 6X8 component. Will the factory amp underpower these? I have 2002 LS with audiophile

I plan on adding an infinity basslink to up the bass.

If you are leaving the factory amp you may want to consider infinity reference just to be sure you can power them.

right I think those kappa's were like 2 ohms???? factory setup is probably not going to run them right.

I put some pioneer 6 x 9's in the back of mine. I had to turn the bass right down because it would kick out at 1/2 volume. Now it still shuts off the amp @3/4 volume. It would take about 30 secounds and it would be back on. If you are going to put aftermarket speakers in I would spend the little extra and get a small amp.
I'm looking for a small amp that might fit in with very little mods. if anybody has done this please let me know.
