I just finished replacing my steering column. I need to replace the plastic peices that go around the column, but I need to know how to take the black part of the switch off to do so.

at the bottom of the switch housing is a small hole, you need to insert a coat hanger size screw driver or something else in there of that size to release the ignition switch,it will then pull out the whole ign cylinder.
