Gap Specs

For the 764 Autolite Specs Gap is .054.
I've read that someone Recommended .048.
I just want to know why and is it better to have it at this spec?

I would stick with the stock gap...

I always gapped mine to .048 because pretty much everyone on here recommended it.

yeah i went .048 seems to run great.

you will notice that it will not start as good on a cold moring start with the smaller gap. also it will cause the computer to work a little on the emisson settings. jd
