I believe those are the ones I have on my 96, they came black oddly enough thou. But yes, direct bolt on. And yes I've seen people post they're a waste of money. And yes I know my engine compartment is dirty.

Andy we have talked about this in great detail.

Anyway, get off of the ignition "SCAM" and just do it the easy and simple lifetime warrantied way.

Heres the rundown of all you will ever need for your car.

1) Autolite 764 copper's gapped @.048, $1.00-$1.35 each.
2) Nology wires, 100,000 watt spark, $199.00 LIFETIME WARRANTY.

DONE!

People just do not get that STOCK capacitive discharge coils are ALL you will EVER need!!!!!

look here's a 2400 HP small block Ford, and oh no what is that?
He is running STOCK GM coils?
NO WAY!
Why doesn't he run MSD stuff or some other aftermarket coils?

ILL TELL YOU WHY, THEY ARE NOT NEEEDED!!!!!!!!

Can't say there is a noticeable difference but the car ran better afterwards. Seemed to improve mileage too. I replaced them with plugs and the MSD wires all together. It wasn't about adding horsepower, its about making sure I'm using all it has already, and maybe preventative maintanance. I replaced the injectors also, they probably were fine too. I didn't expect to gain HP, not with those mods anyway, just keeping it in tip top running order.

Also something to consider when you her everyone raving about how the car runs better and they have better mpg and all after these things have been changed, this is very true but you can change old failing ignition part's and every time of course your power will be restored and the mileage will go up because its now back to par.

People always think it runs like this because of what brand they used as far as coils or wires go, the true facts are this: If your car is higher in mileage with stock ignition parts and is already running say 15% off stock accross the board then of course your car has "new found power" and "better mileage" ANY ignition products will give this feel just because they are NEW and now your car is back to stock performance.

All Im saying that if your going to replace these items why not use something with not only power but also a LIFETIME warranty. Plus its a 6 year old tried and proven combo.

I just got off the phone with a poor sucker who bought the whole Screamin' Demon setup for I beleive $315.00 and then I told him about this combo and guess who is returning their ignition parts. The combo we run will cost you a grand total of $214.00 THATS IT! WITH LIFETIME WIRES!!! That will out spark the MSD Digital 6 and MSD wires by 30,000 watts!!

I do not and never had anything but Motorcraft coils on ALL my modular engines.

I'm not saying new stock stuff wouldn't of had the same results, as a matter of fact I think I was pointing out it was done from the tune-up perspective, not for NEW hp. I don't think you were saying I was. I have a hard time convincing myself that replacing 70k 6yr (at the time) old coils is a bad thing. So the only thing left is how much more are the MSD pacs than OEMs. If there $30 bucks more, wip de do, I drink that some nights. The Super conducter wires and the coil pacs were $230 something from summit 3 yrs ago. At that time you were changing ALOT more for those wires I think nearly double, and then you still have old coils.

very true geno very true. Im just so f'n feed up with how powerless my car is feeling. No one has a damned clue as to what it is, and the fukin code puller isnt any help. the eec i cant find anywhere, i figgure i may as well check out how much it is for new packs cuz that may or may not be my problem, if it isnt, oh well..new packs. i came close to smoothing out the idle with the new plugs, but its slowly degrading (not to the point that you could realy notice a diffrence unless you were me) Geno, If you can find me that eec that would help a ton. and do you know of anybody that would be able to diognose/fix my roof?

yea i remember $379.99 last summer or something crazy like that.

let me ask you this also...when you say lifetime warrentied....how is that, is that a limited lifetime warranty...or is it, if im dissatisfied with how they are performing, i can get new ones for free?

Andy lets try to get together one day this weekend if you want and do a quick go over on your car and discuss what you did and didn't do yet, ok? Im curious to see if I can find "what's up" with it. I cannot guarantee this weekend to be definite , it will depend on if I get these graphics jobs done or not. I am swamped with serious deadline stuff right now.

It's a manufactures lifetime warranty. Put it this way I have never since 1994 when I started with Nology have yet to replace a set of wires. I have on occasion replace one or two here and there that were YEARS old.

What's up with the roof. I just had to realign my Gen II sunroof. Not one but two of the three bolts fell out and when I went to use it it got all out of sorts. It took a bit but easy once I figured it out. Just let me know if I can help.
