ok , i have a 91 conti. nothing but probs since day one. So now iam looking into a caddy..went to a dealer and he is a 99 with 60,000mi on it looks insanely clean and rides nice for $9,000. i was jus wondering #1 how long do caddys of this yr normally last or whats a rough guesstamite (considering its well taken care of) And #2 do you think iam getting a good deal ? thanks for any input!! :biggrin:

Well I've been very please with all of the 5 Cadillac's I've owned. All of them were high mileage cars, meaning I bought them with around 70k on them. I feel for you because I had nothing but problems with my 85' Conti.
I do know there were certain year Northstar engines which had some anomalies. Oil leaks, starter problems and things like that. The mileage is a little high for a 99 but that doesn't mean anything. Both of my current cars were insanely clean also.
I guess it's probably a good find depending on the model and options in the car. The KBB on a 99' STS mint is $14k with 60k miles.
