Hello I recently purchased a 96 sls an its a good car but im frequently having problems when i get to 60 65 mph an only when im on the gas i get a shake from it directly from the center of the front of the car,i took it to goodyear an told them what it was doin,they alligned the front end twice an sold ma 4 new tires.but the next day i was on the highway an it came back,when i let off the gas its smooth as a roach slidin on ice,but soon as i go to accellerate i get a viscious shake.sometimes i can do 80 90 an its fine for a while then the shake comes back after 20 mi ns of that.im thinkin it may be some kind of axle mount maybe does any one know any thing about this,an its not the wheels or the balance.thanks

I saw a couple of threads that deals with that, they were called the dreaded Seville shimmies. I will try to find them and let you know how it was corrected.

it was the torque strut mount,right on top of the motor .changed it myself.peace
