shiryu0 April 11th, 2006, 11:05 AM so this past saturday i bought me some tips for my car....and went to the muffler shop......i now have straight pipes :p ......and yes theres drone, but this drone dont compare to some Mustangs ive heard, this is nice drone at cruise, dont mind it at all.......and people are staring at me all crazy now :cool: lol........im sure im confusing the crap out of them, especially since nobody else has a VIII around here with some exhaust, hehehe :D

fastmarkviii April 11th, 2006, 11:16 AM haha, where do u live? I get stares all the time, Im running 40 series flowmasters with gutted out cats and premufflers with 3 1/2 inch tips,and of coarse the stock x pipe that comes with the lsc's, so its pretty loud! I love it
shiryu0 April 11th, 2006, 03:42 PM i live in California....er...i mean Kalifornia, i live in the middle of nowhere though, so the smog nazis are not down here :D .....cats are intact on mine, all that was done was saw of the mufflers, and put the tips in thier place.....:cool:

MediumD April 11th, 2006, 10:54 PM A friend of mine has that done on his Mark. It's surprisingly quiet for having no mufflers. For a day I had the mufflers off of my Eldorado, and that sure got some stares. I, on the other hand, live in Albuquerque, where they'll give you a ticket if your car is louder than stock, so I'll be going with solenoid actuated cutouts.
Frat-man-du April 12th, 2006, 10:09 AM Nice....I have the smog Nazis here so you cant even modify stock exhaust or even replace any part of an exhaust system unless so directed by an official, damage to OEM system or older than 25 years.
Most shops still do the work, just warn you that you wont pass inspection and can get fined out your a$$.
found this out in my wife's 00 stang. We put side pipes on and within an hour a state trooper pulled us over. We were able to show in court that the Cobra R has side exhaust from the factory and got the fee waived but it just goes to show it sux here.
