Well the title explains it. My tach stopped working, it acts like it wants move. if you gently hit the dash in front of the gauges it jumps to where it should be at that given speed. what can i do to fix it?

The problem is is the gauge face has slid down and is in contact with the needle shaft. The glue has seperated and allowed the gauge face to slide down coming in contact with the needle, you will hafta remove the gauge cluster to fix the problem.
