My cabin a c filter warning light is on. Where can i buy it, can i do it myself and how much does it cost. I hope i don't have to go to the dealer.

I had my mechanic do it, it was about 5 min and $50. you could do it yourself and take longer. and still pay the $50 for the filter, i say go to mechanic.

you can buy the filter at pepboys or autozone usually or through you FLM dealer. They are not expensive and very easy to replace.

The dealer wanted to charge me $80 for the cabin filter. I bought the exact same thing from rockauto for $30 and installed it myself. Very easy install.

Next time around I will buy the bosch for $20,

Remove the old filter, bang it out on the ground... or clean it with a wet-vac, reinstall it and reset the reminder.
