ok, i am aware of the 8 speakers, 4 mid-speakers, and 4 tweeters. And i have come the conclusion that it may be my connection to my amp in the back that is causing the left side to go out.
My question is.. does anyone know the wattage on the JBL speakers? All of them.

I would say between 10-20 watts. Not bad for a 93. You said the left side is going out?? What happens that makes you think the amp is going out? If you are looking at new speakers, you do not need to match the speaker wattage exactly. You can put a set of 40 watt kenwood reference components in there and they would be fine. (They are sweet low RMS and soft dome tweeter) It is the distortion that is the killer. When anything other than music comes out, you got to turn it down.

Keep us posted. You can always put together some JL amps, kicker resolution components, kicker L7's and KIcker amps with an in dash screen
