I almost bought a remote CD player on E-Bay today, but now I'm curious if I'd be able to use it. Do all of the Mark VIII radios have the remote CD capabillity or would I have to get a new head unit as well as the remote if I want to add a CD?

Both my 95 base and 98 LSC have the remote player sin the trunk. The 95 radio went out when the amp for the phone blew. I got just the single CD player model (from eBay) and the remote player would not connect. Not sure if the standard non-CD models would work or not.

If the radio does not have remote CD changer controls built into it (basically if you did not have a remote trunk mounted CD changer in the trunk when you bought the car) then it will not work. You will hafta purchase a radio that has the CD changer controls built into it.....that is the only way.
