I have rebuilt a 350 and a 327 a few years back. I found out my problem is my head gasket. I know the 4.6 DOHC is difficult but what is the hardest part of it to do (changing out the head gasket).
Please help.

I have not done a DOHC 4.6 but the SOHC in my Marque was not too bad, getting to some of the emission stuff on the back of the block was not fun and tagging all the little hoses gets old fast.
Just lots of spray oil and common sense. Take pics so you can remember what goes where.

ive also done a sohc 4.6 in my bird the most fun was undoing the motor mount and jacking the hell out of the pass side to clear the strut tower and i cant picture a dohc being any easier have you ever torn down a over haed cam engine? you need many special tools to lock the cams and other things
