I have a stock 97 LSC. How will those programmed mods affect my vehicle if I do not have the same mods?

From what i understand it will "open up" more power and allow you to have more performance geared shift points. This was installed in a stock gen II and a difference was defintely noticed afterwards.

make sure that the catch code on the chip matches the catch code in your car, otherwise it will not work.

I will still fit, just need to be repgrogrammed. I always recommend get a chip reprogrramed to your specific mods anyway. This chip fits tons of ford/linc/mercvehicles.
