KC96LSC March 14th, 2006, 03:43 PM Just trying to figure out what's up with my temp gauge. It wont stay in one place. I already replaced the thermostat, Not it. It blows hot air no problem. It just wont keep a steady temperature.
Any suggestions,
Greg

I like to think I know a little about cars then something common like the sending unit comes up and I go haa. Where is it and what does it do?
Thanks for the input.

chickenviii March 14th, 2006, 05:47 PM either the sender, wires, or the gauge and the sender is cheap, easy and more than likley the prob
02LSE96LSC91SE84TC March 14th, 2006, 05:47 PM It communicates with the guage to give you the reading. I never changed it on the MarkVIII but I'm sure someone will tell you where it is. I could look if need be, the car is just sitting in the heated garage collecting dust.

i believe it is right at the base of the crossover tube.
02LSE96LSC91SE84TC March 14th, 2006, 06:42 PM There is a sender on the drivers side bottom of the crossover tube, that should be it. The other side is a sensor for the computer, if I had to guess.
