Just trying to figure out what's up with my temp gauge. It wont stay in one place. I already replaced the thermostat, Not it. It blows hot air no problem. It just wont keep a steady temperature.

Any suggestions,

Greg

you probably have air in the system, did you filll it up through the cross tube?

Yes I did fill it up through the cross over tube. It was doing it before I replaced the thermostat.

Thanks for the help guys.

I like to think I know a little about cars then something common like the sending unit comes up and I go haa. Where is it and what does it do?

Thanks for the input.

It communicates with the guage to give you the reading. I never changed it on the MarkVIII but I'm sure someone will tell you where it is. I could look if need be, the car is just sitting in the heated garage collecting dust.

i believe it is right at the base of the crossover tube.

There is a sender on the drivers side bottom of the crossover tube, that should be it. The other side is a sensor for the computer, if I had to guess.
