The guage cluster lights in my 88 Mark VII keep going out from time to time and the lights for my tempature controls dim at the same time. When I mess with the panel dim switch, the lights usually come back on. They have been out for a day or two now and won't come back on. Is this problem related to a bad panel dim switch or a bad ground. I am going to replace the the switch if this is the case. Thanx for any help!

Sounds like a bad switch to me.

The multifunction switch is a common issue. It is most likely your problem.
