Question : While highway driving does the car really go over 85MPH? The Digital odometer only reads 85 and dosent go over...So I can swear when I hit the gas on the highway I'm really going faster then 85... Am I really going faster then 85? maby about 90ish I think
Question Two : My outside temp thing shows dosent work right... It shows usally a rating of about 30ish below... however when you leave the car to sit for about a day it will and start it late, it will show the normal temp (like 70F) How do I fix this?
Question Three :
My cigarette lighter dosent charge my cell phone, could it be a fuse?
Question Four : How do I set the outside keypad to unlock my door
I think that's it for now :)

Welcome aboard. The digital speedometer only goes to 85, but that is not the limit of the vehicle. The temperature problem sounds like you may have a fault in the system. The cigarette lighters seem to go bad on these cars often, but it won't hurt to check the fuse first.

Am I really going faster then 85? maby about 90ish I think Yep - you should be able to take your car to about 130mph.........Ignore the speedometer appearance limitations

SOunds like a problem in the wiring part of this system, maybe in the control head
Question Three :
My cigarette lighter dosent charge my cell phone, could it be a fuse? 90% likely that it is a fuse
Question Four : How do I set the outside keypad to unlock my door
Should be a code on the trunk hinge on the right side -- that code should open the door when you enter it.
Oh, and WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Thanks guys... I was hoping that these little problems were very small... and they really are simple... I think... but thanks!!

Check to make sure the thermometer behind the front grill is cleaned... I've heard of severla people replace this part only to find that all they had to do was clean the sensor...

I know this doesn't apply to your 90' but 89' and lower Towncars with a digital dash have an average speed button. If you are going faster than 85 you can reset the average speed and it will tell you how fast you are really going. The dash will still say only 85, but the average speed will rise, keep resetting it as you go faster. Ideally you would want to have someone else do this for you while you are driving. :L

Ummm, there is no adv speed on the digital dash in the 90, I think they put that adv speed in place of the instant economy in 95 :L

If its similar to the Mark you can test the system by taking the thermometer off and the display should read OC for open circuit and then use a jumper wire to short the connector and it'll throw up a code for short circuit but I don't recall what it is, maybe SC? This way you know your system is working fine and then you'll know its just the thermometer.

I know its not going to help you out but in 1994 I think they allowed the speedometer in the Towncar to go 120.
