I need the sway bar and bushings..i understand there is a better replacement for this versus the original part...how much will this cost?

You are exactly right, for the '01 (and I'm sure other years) the sway bar bushings are not sold seperately anymore. It's a whole assembly, sway bar and all, and requires several hours labor to install. The part cost me just over $120 at Burd Ford Parts Dept, they were very helpful and I don't think you'll beat that price anywhere. I can still get just the bushings if you need them that bad. They are obsolete but I found some at another dealer.
