Does anyone know are the fogged headlights covered under the factory warranty. My 01 LS passenger headlight fogs after I wash the car.

its moisture build-up.. unsure about warranty. but if need to, drill small hole under the cover.. it will disappear.

I had mine replaced under warranty. Lincoln revised the LS headlights with updated seals, the dealer will replace your old ones with these. (as long as you are still under warranty that is)

There is a TSB covering this - not sure if it covered under warranty if your car isn't still under warranty.

To fix it yourself -
- you probably have 'grey glue' holding the lamp together.
- take the headlamp out
- stick it in the over for 10mins at 250 degrees - soften the glue
- push hard around all the edges - squishing the glue together
- let cool
- take some RTV sealent and run a bead around it

Many of us use this trick to take the lamps apart to make 'clear corners' or add 'angle eyes'.

Sorry guys, but Lincoln WON'T replace your fogged headlamos any more. There is a TSB published on a procedure to RESEAL them only. The only exception is if they have turned into gold fish bowls!
