My heat takes a full 15 minutes to start working... is this normal? i use it on vent set to 90 and i turn the thumb wheel all the way up.. takes a full 15 minutes... it used to get hot quick..what should i look for?
does this need a heater core flush???? or does it sound like a blend door or what?

I have the oposite. I have mine set to 67 vent- or floor and in 5 min I am sweating. I now hear a slight sqweek coming from the pass side floor area so I suspect my litttle gray door arm is going.

first question I have is the car warm before you turn it up? Until the car warms up you won't feel any heat. Second, is the coolant properly filled? If its low or if there is air in it, that could possibly affect things. I had the problem when the coolant wasn't filled up. The engine wasn't getting hot because how cold it was outside but I'm guessing it wasn't pushing enough coolant through the heater core either.

If engine is running at correct temperature, I would flush heater core. What temp is the engine running at? That would tell you if heater core or thermostat. If engine is warm and not heat.........heater core clog.
