After conferring with Mac98SHO, I've come to the conclusion that it'd be a smart idea to just replace my injectors. Reason being that a: our gas mileage has taken a bit of a dip (remember the posts), b: a lot of times after parking the car we can get out and smell raw fuel, and c: the flooding which caused my no-start condition today.
So......
I checked around the Team Ford website, and some others, and am finding the injectors for around $60-65 each. A healthy amount. I'm wondering if there's a better deal out there?? If anyone knows, I'd appreciate a point in that direction.

they are expensive units......
Ford XW43-9F593-CA or XW4Z 9F593 CA
Motorcraft CM4934
Standard FJ297
Airtex 4G1234
Delphi FJ10533
they are the only 'air-assisted' injectors in the ford line up (if i have my facts correct) - changed in 03 to non-'air-assisted'.....

So that is what I'm going to have to pay. Ouch.

What would it take to convert the FI setup to non-air assisted?

not much - I am hoping - cause that is exactly what I am doing.....
Here is the stock injector:
Ford XW43-9F593-CA
Ford XW4Z 9F593 CA
Motorcraft CM4934
Standard FJ297
Airtex 4G1234
Delphi FJ10533
12 ohm coil with the following flow rates:
Dynamic (2.5ms @ 100Hz): 25.32 g/min 32.88 cc/sec
Static (10ms @ 100Hz): 173.14 g/min 224.85 cc/min
if I am doing my math right -- 224.85 cc/min/10.5 = 21.45 lb hr.

That's why I'm a cop... the math is easy ;)
But, is that at 100% duty cycle? Most injectors are rated under their capability so bumping the fuel pressure can increase their rating slightly. Then again, I just may not know what the hell I'm talking about

I've got a Ford dealer here in the Valley that takes care of any warranty work on my Cobra. They also treat me extremely well on parts. They charged me about $54 a piece for injectors for my 01 LS when I changed them all.
