Time for new rotors (and pads) on my 98 LSC.
I am inclined to get just drilled, as I have heard horrors about slotted that they just chew up and spit out pads.
Thoughts, preferences?!?! - all will be appreciated!
Current Stable:
00 Stang vert - side pipes, super chip, CAI

I went with the drill and slotted from r1concepts on ebay .
no problems yet but it hasn't been 6 months yet.

I didn't know that they sold pads , I got napa pads .... sopmeone here saide napa was the best.
Oh yes don't forget the get a good rear caliper compresser tool not the unversal
type they sell at kragens
get one that is made for a ford , not that does all kinds of cars!

cool & thanks I have a #$%$#% cheap rear tool I sued on my Mustang. Ihad to grind it to fit, but it was a Sunday afternoon and all it could get at the time. How much is the Ford tool ($4.95 for the cheapo univ. one).
% str had Ford pads for $60ish, eoither that or NAPA.

I bought the drilled and slotted r1concepts also, but i did go with their pads. They have been on for about 2000mi and no problems thus far.

Get stock ones if you arent racing on a road course. All the slotted/drilled rotors do is help cool.

Thanks. I thought about that but we have some mountain roads with lots of hairpin curves and 30' down angles that get the brakes really hot - especaily during the summer. The rotors get pretty bumpy by the time we end up at the bottom. I figure I can only help. Granted I dont take this road too often (it sure is fun in the Mark) but better safe than soory for such little extra money.

i would go with Hawk HPS pads, they work much better than the stock pads on my car. They can be noisy tho - all I care about is stopping.

Noise is ok as long as it is not like dragging a stuck pig around when you try to stop.:D
