Hi,
I install new 3.73 rear end a year or so ago, since then the car has not been on any long trips, anyone would know if I drove the car on a 1000 mile trip straight thru would it be hard on it?

Brent (brentalan) drove his Mark VIII from NJ to Chicago for the BBQ. I know he has 3.73 gears in his. So that would qualify for a 1000 mile drive.

Do you still have your old rear end? Is it a Trac Loc?

are you asking if its going to be hard on the car to drive 1000 miles with 3.73's?
no, it will be fine. you will pull a few more RPMS than stock for a longer time, but nothing to worry about. go for it! you will love passing people with them though :)

You will have no problems what so ever. I have them and only turn about 2600 Rpm @73 MPH
