LOL!! Yeah one of my kids favorite movies. I must admit one of mine also. The navigation system is so damn accurate too. Right as you pull up on the intersection it tells you to turn left or right. Hasnt missed a single point so far. And you can control the Navi volume independently from the CD-DVD-radio volume. Turning the stereo all the way down doesnt affect the Navi volume.

The more I drive it the more I like the black trim on the head unit. And everything else inside is stock. Its an 04 V8 Ultimate. Thanks for the comments everyone. I highly recommend this unit.

Where did you get the trim around the unit?

Looking great. I have to admit. It was a toss up for me between the Eclipse and the Pioneer I eventually got.

Man that car is sweet. How do you like the Pioneer? I can't decide which unit to get.

One of the installers actually fabricated it himself.

Thank you.

Overall I like the Pioneer. The few things im not impressed by are little things. For example, its a PITA to raise or lower the volume. You have to push and hold a button and it can take 5+ seconds to go from all the way up to all the way down. Doesnt sound like much but when your cel is ringing.....

I didnt get the DVD player since its a seperate component. You have to buy the DVD/CD changer which is like $800 vs the CD changer for $150. I dont need to watch a movie while I drive, so I didnt bother.

I dont wanna hijack the thread further so ill shut up now... :)

Hey Dartastic, I'm loving that Eclipse deck. I'm gonna get some "20's though before I shell out +$1K for that unit. Question: I see a Record button on the lower left side above the Tilt button, what does that do?
Did you get the extra capacity Hard Drive too?

You can more than double the price for the eclipse. it is one of the more expensive but also is very easy to use and has more features. Its all about personal preference though so Im not knocking the Pioneer or Kenwood. The Eclipse came with a 30 gig hard drive. 10 gigs are dedicated to the Nav system making it faster then those with external DVD drives. The other 20 gigs are for recording CD's are radio broadcasts. It records onto the hard drive in ATRAC3 format. It also can play mp3's recorded onto cd's but you cannot record them to the hard drive. Im with Joeychgo on not needing to watch DVD's while driving but the kids luv it. Also my steering wheel controls still work. A big plus. Only problem is the radio stations preset dont work. Instead the up and down change the frequency instead of the presets.
