blue climate control bulb type

Like many others, both bulbs on my climate control unit that are under the cold portion of the temperature selector are out. From what I've read on this post, it seems that lincoln would have you buy a new $400 something dollar climate control unit to fix this rather than providing a replacement bulb. So I have opened up the unit and have taken out both bulbs but I see no indication of what type they are (wattage etc.) Does anyone know this information? I would much rather buy an aftermarket bulb from a lighting specialty shop than try to pick up a used climate control unit and hope that those bulbs would last knowing that they obviously have a short life span.

Speaking of bulbs...This seems to be weird but 6 out of 10 times my lights on the shifter are off...anyone ever notice that? Like sometimes when I have the lights on they will be fine but others they just wont light up ???

J3FF...welcome to the site!! But for future reference, you may want to start your own thread rather than get this one off track.

Matt, I might suggest you call the dealer and ask for the shop they send their stereos and ATC units to for repair. I'll bet they could tell you! I'm sure Ford will not show the bulb in their parts books...just the entire unit.
