my engine overheat warning turns on about a day or two after running the engine "hard" if you know what i mean. but no smoke or any vapors for that matter come out of the hood. the dealership wants to charge hundred bucks just to diagnose the problem on top of what it might cost to fix it, any idea's about what might be the problem or if you had a similar issue let me know

Is it actually overheating, or is the warning just going off?
