XM Radio Help

I am a new member to this site and I own a 02 LS Sport with the Alpine Audiophile head unit. Is there an easy way to connect XM Radio to that unit. I was told that there should be an RCA connecter in the back that should plug right in. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Do you have the in-dash single or 6 disc changer? Then you'd need a PIE adapter, part number FRDN-AUX to plug into the back of it and give you a pair of RCA inputs. Check discountcarstereo.com, pricing is about $70.

To give you another option:

I have an 2001 LS V8 Sport w/Alpine Sport Radio CD6. I just installed the US Spec DFFORD1 adapter, for my Xm Radio. It works with no issues. You can purchase it online at a few places. I just went to a somwhat local Circuit City, in Burnsville, MN.

Good Luck

I dont know if the pre-03's had rds but xm (or someone) just came out with an adapter that you can plug directly into the head unit, similar to the xm direct for aftermarket receivers. I know that they sell them on crutchfield and then you dont have to pay for a plug and play receiver (unless you already have one).
