I took my 93 conti to my mechanic to get new brake lines. He told me he heard that my steering wheel creaks when you turn, and I've noticed it too. He said I had to replace the tie rods. Anyone know how much that'd run with just the parts?

autozone has tie rod ends going for:

outers 25.99 each
inners 21.49 each

you need 2 of each to replace all the ends.

thats the 'duralast' brand, the 'valucraft' is about 10 bones each.

and looking at the part numbers, I would say the difference is the part number (one letter) and the warranty you get.

I have noticed that about AZ. most of the time the valuecraft part is the same as the Duralast part, just not as much warranty. I have even had a clerk substitute the more expensive one 'cause the cheapy was outta stock and give me the cheapy price.
