Can you change the headunit in an STS?

OK so im car shopping and my top 2 cars are an STS (around 1999-2001) or a Grand Prix GTP (same years).
I already got an mp3 deck, some subs and amp and a screen sitting in my room.
In the pics i see the cadillacs factory headunit are large and curved. Can you buy a mounting plate to install a typical din head unit?? or is the call for custom work

Those kits are so rare, if they exist, that people want tons of money for them. I would say you are looking at custom work, and some amplifier interfacing.

The GTP is a normal kit. Look and see if it has bose system if you get a chance, no big deal either way. The GTP may require some interfacing but the rest of it is pretty easy.
