Well the full 2.5", double X pipe exhaust is on... but it sounds like a freakin rice burner. Most def. the mufflers I have on there. I like the performance gain... but it sounds way too much like a ricer. I want more of a deep throaty tone, any suggestion of new mufflers?

Got them off of Ebay... K2motorsport Universal straight thru mufflers... small canisters, but more or less ricer mufflers.

I thought you said you had the double x pipe. Which I thought, you could only get from LMS. Did ya make your own?

Nope, I got 2 of them, and they're welded to each other on the exhaust.

hell just cut off the mufflers, Right now Im running duals, not cats or mufflers. its not that loud with the radio on its just when you are giving some more then you need gas. Plus I got people I dont know coming up to me at gas stations saying how badass it is, plus WOT it sounds sweeeeeeet. give it a try you are replacing the mufflers any ways do it and see if you like it, less work for the exhuast shop if you do get new ones

jdl, you should check with NYC LSC (Tom) and get your mufflers off of him. He has a set of good mufflers he is selling for cheap! Then sell your ricer cans back on ebay and get some of your money back. ;)

I just installed a DynoMax UltraFlow on my Seville and I don't know what it does for power gain or loss but it sounds great. Just enough throaty rumble when you get on it to know something's not stock, but quiet enough to be a Cadillac.

Ricer mufflers are glass packs. Stay away from them, they sound horrid.

Well the Ultra Flow is a straight thru muffler with continuous roving fiberglass.

Mine are stock with an exsaust leak in the pipe before the 3rd cat (130,000 miles).
It's funny ,when I pulled up at Carlise everyone was asking what exsaust I had. LOL

Thats a ricer mod. I read in some ricer thing a long time ago. That said. Want easy hp gains and yada yada yada. Drill a big hole on the front side of you muffler. Now you will sound like the big boys! Don't you ever wounder how them ricers are getting exhaust tones from a stock muffler. . .

I have never looked close at my VIII....why is it the exhaust takes the zigzag? Is that the gas tank?

I had these Magnaflows on my 98 Seville STS. Sounded great. But, too loud for me. I'm trying to get rid of them actually. Something like $175 or maybe even less for both. I only used them 3 days before I had them removed.
