Cylinder Arrangement on V8?

I've searched but can't find the cylinder arrangement on the 3.9 V8. I know it's an oddball arrangement unlike the nominal "odds on the driver side, w/ 1 in the front" that every friggin' AMERICAN V8 has been designed w/ to date. Can someone please provide / confirm the correct cylinder arrangement?

Is it:
Front
Drv/Pass
1/5
2/6
3/7
4/8
Rear

Or:
5/1
6/2
7/3
8/4

Or something else??

TIA

Actually all Fords I can think of were like this, #1 is always the cylinder closest to the front, on 5.0s, 5.8s all windsor blocks, 4.6 too, the pass. side is furthest forward and #1, #2 behind it, not across. Can't say if this is true on the 3.9, but someone will know.

So this must be a Ford thing? 'Cause every Chevy, Olds, Pontiac, Buick, Cadillac and Mopar V8 I've worked on was:

Front
Drv/Pass
1/2
3/4
5/6
7/8
Rear

Can't vouch for any Ford V8, only worked on one of those ('67 390) and it was only to fix a starter.

Keep in mind the 3.9L is more of a Jaguiar than it is a Ford.

Agreed, so I can't say for sure, but I am sure of the rest. Someone will chime in I'm sure.
