General Motors has reported that sales of the Cadillac CTS saw over a 20% increase in sales nationwide in December of 2005.
2005 was a difficult year for General Motors, the world's largest automaker. But that seems to be changing. The Cadillac CTS is a hot seller, and the Cadillac STS is becoming an even better seller.
There's plenty of reasons why both the Cadillac CTS and Cadillac STS are selling. Heidi Magyar of GM Grand River, the home of the CTS and STS models, says the vehicle's design is gaining popularity.
Heidi Magyar, GM Lansing Grand River: "The CTS as you saw had a very sharp design when it was introduced. That has grown on folks and it's continued to grow. You've seen that build up with its sales over the last 4 years."
Magyar says vehicles typically have a period of time when their sales plateau, but with the CTS, the sales remain strong, and that's an encouraging sign for the automaker heading into 2006.
