what is the part # for a driver side mirror and the price for it. i came out from the parking lot last night and someone knocked my side mirror off its still connected by the wires but the casing broke were it connects to the car. it happened on private property so cops couldnt do anything with a hit and run. he said it would be better for me to just pay for it out of my pocket instead of claiming it on inssurance because i'm 19 and my deductable is 500 and my rate will go up.

allready did had tosearch fpr his #. gave me a decent deal but i just need the shell so im'a check some salvage yards 1st. and if i buy it from him or the dealership i still need painting. so if i can find the shell in a salvage yard and then get it painted it will be cheaper.

Contact these guys too:

LKQ usually has very high quality salvaged items for the LS. They have numerous sites and can probably find the color you are looking for.

Not smart. Insurance is there to protect you against castrophies...not inconveniences. After you pay the deductible, you will get very little from them and will have a claim on your record. They don't need many of those to get cancelled. Once that happens, it's almost impossible to get insurance. Not only that, you run the risk of a rate increase. I get a helluva discount because I have had no claims. That will eat up the little bit of insurance money you get for this in a hurry.
