I got the car kit + cradle w/ speakers for the house yesterday, well I followed all the instructions in setting it up, it's bright and sunny today, aimed the antenna south *even tried holding it outside* and it still can't get a signal anywhere... There tech support people won't be open til tomorrow and it's driving me nuts! Any ideas why this won't work?

I will never buy XM. I invested thousands in stock of that company and lost every penny when they delcared bankruptcy.. They did give options that I could exercise if the stock went above $15/share for 3 consecutive mos. I had those usless options for over 2 yrs. Well the stock never went above $7 while the options were in force. Right after they expired the stock went to $17. I don't trust that company. Somebody made alot of money, it wasn't the average stockholder who believed in the company.

I don't know why you would be having that problem. Xm has 1800 repeaters on the ground vs sirius that has just about 90 of them. I have had xm for about 4 years now and have been dealing with them for about 3 1/2 years (selling / installing). Most of the the problems start at user error and not service error. check to make sure antenna is pluged in all the way. On the screen does it say ANTENNA or do you recive service. now no matter what service you have you may loose service in some areas NO matter what! Last I checked xm shares are at or around $35 - $39 vs sirius that is about $7 now. I am not a fan of sirius. There sound sucks and here in florida they don't have great signal
