New Shoes

The Red Rocket got some new meats this past week. I put on the Falken ZE-512's in size 255/50-16 on all four corners. They are amazing! It was pouring today and I went out to put them through their paces. Pure traction, no slipping, spinning or sliding, even through the puddles. I hit some serious water at about 55 mph, but with tires that wide and water that deep, a little hyroplaning is expected. The tires handle great, they stick right to the pavement and track every corner I throw at them. The best part is that they are very quiet, even at high speeds (90+). I am very happy and should have switched to the 255 size a LONG time ago!

oh yeah, BONUS - They look pretty sweet too! (Actual Pictures comming soon!)

That's good to hear. I just ordered a pair of Nitto drag radials from them. I hope to get them and have them installed within a week. I got a hot date, if you know what I mean. :gr_devil:

My Mark got new shoes too. But I refuse to put a 255 on a 7 inch rim...its just plain wrong. Aftermarket rims...8's, minimum.

But, that said... 245/50-16 Kumho ecsta 711's... $56 each! How can you go wrong? I dont care if I burn them up in a year... $240 for 4 tires....

anyway... where's your pics? I would love to see 255's on a 7" rim.
