Heres an old school video of the TerminVIIIor before it was the TerminVIIIor. This is from 1997 about 2 months after purchase. This is the earliest known video of the TerminVIIIor.

In this skin it was a serious street racing money making sleeper. Enjoy.

No chrome strip, was it an LSC? Was it also bone stock at that point?

Either way, Mark VIII's are still BEASTS :headbang:

It was a base model.

Oh hell no it wasn't bone stock, just the engine, all bolt on's.

She was running 13.60's there.

whoa.... damn! I'm sure you've left a few people scratching their heads after you just totally dusted them at a stoplight... wow! what a freakin sleeper!

Most of the same mods you have on that car's latest version?

Do you ever wonder if some of the original owners of the Mark VIII (Those over 60 units who tend to buy Lincolns and Cadillacs New as they can afford them LOL.

Ever punched it down! :eek2: Could you imagine the shock!

:yourock:

Do you think that they sit around with their :invasion: card club and go :woowoo2: You a bad :q

Then again do you think they would call their car the "TerminVIIor" :headbang: and everytime they pass a Cadillac say "Die Mother :q Die Mother :q

In that video I only had the LMS chip, LMS mass air, MSD wires, LMS adjustable fuel pressure regulator, 255 pump, Baumann shift kit, 4.10's with Auburn posi, 160 t-stat, LMS carrier bushings, STOCK exhaust and 245/50/16's. That's it.

Ever notice how those Lincoln guys always have to powerbrake to get the tires loose. I don't have to do that. Matter of fact I can punch my STS at 5 - 7 MPH and lay 50' of rubber.

Powerbrake it? Are you kidding? LMAO!!!!

Yeah right.

Get real.

Plus if you look at the second burnout in that vid whn I am coming back to towards the camera there isnt a hint of brake at all even with hot tires!!!

These vids are from the MM&FF Magazine shoot with a track freshly sprayed with VHT and 275/40 rear tires!!! Yes I am in second gear by the time I pass the camera!! Lets see you "Caddy" layout 150 feet of rubber with a STOCK engine with nothing but bolt on's.

Nope dead stock base model exhaust. I had the maf kit though and that adds a little "noise" to the equation.

There's no doubt that the car has balls but I did see some braking going on when pulling away from the cam. I really can't argue this point because my car is 100% stock and has 200k + miles on it. I was just making an observation. And hey, after all it is L vs. C :)

Once I get some cash to do some work, there's no doubt she'll be a runner

I was just razzin' ya' back but like I said look at the second burnout on that same vid & there is zero braking. The first one there was a flash of braking but not needed at all.

It would have been longer but there were families and what not crossing over from the parking are to the Ice Cream Parlor portion and they were all running and stuff! LOL!

Powerbraking a burnout depends a lot on the tire IMHO. I don't HAVE to use the brakes on mine, even with the Michelin Pilots I have that have extraordinarily good traction, but if I want to give a smoke show I do use the brakes. Even then, the Michelins don't give up a lot of smoke.

I had a set of hard Continental brand tires I picked up with the chrome 10 spokes. I could smoke them at will any time I wanted, and that was before the 4.10s and exhaust! :steering:

Hey driller, you have any form of posi?

I also hate when people try to tell me that burnouts really wear down the tire, like they're trying to discourage me from doin one. I mean, yeah it does.... but not like everyone thinks it does. Well, unless you sit there and hold it for like 20-30 seconds like I do sometimes LOL. But every once in a while, my check engine light comes on right after I do it and most of the time it's a peg leg burnout (one wheel). And BOY, as soon as I get some kind of video camera that I can hook up to the comp, I'll be filming burnouts all the time. And I'll try to get some sort of sound clip of the exhaust, the car goes in on Tuesday for it. :headbang:

P.S. I think this one is a little better view of that burnout...

Yeah that is better. I dont know who took that one? Its cool seeing the exhaustd make the smoke shoot straight back, then you can really hear it when I SLAM the throttle to 7500k!! Those SAME tires are still on the back of that car today, so yes it is BS that burnouts KILL a tire, it just hurts them a little LOL!
