I just had my winshield replaced, 99 sts. Looks like the "wrong :mad: winshield" because 1) the mirror no longer has power 2) the tinted strip near the top leaves some of the hardware totally exposed (Sensors of some kind) 3) tinted strip is not made up of a lot of little dots, it's more like a swipe of spray paint - thinner at it's lower edge, dark at the top.

I don't know what was standard on the '99 sts but I had automatic dimming mirrors and a compass in the mirror, and rain sensing wipers.

I have a relative with a used '96, this winshield looks just like theirs. His rain sensing wipers will automatically speed up, but never slow down.

I'm calling the guy 12/16, but he won't get the car til sometime next week. By then I need to know if there were two different windshields for the '99, or if this thing is way wrong. Any one have some info to help me out??
