I've seen Climate Control units on ebay . It seems that the backs are differnt colors what does that mean, How do I know what would work in my car , I need one from my 94 Mark VIII.

Go by the year. Any 95-96 will work in your car with the 95 being the old button style and the 96 having the new design.

93 - 96, would other ones work to, or it need to be from a lincoln mark viii,

I've seen blue and yellow personally. I just pulled a hard button yellow one out of a wrecked 94. It's for sale in the classifieds if you're interested. ***Shameless Plug***
