Worth $50? I don't like the little chrome. But I like the rest of it. Says any part store should have an adapter. Anyone ever have problems with aftermarket steering wheels? What adapter works? Same as Mustang. . .
LSC SS August 8th, 2004, 09:32 PM no problem getting an adaptor, I got one for my grant wheel not too long ago.

does that wheel come with some kind of a horn button?? that will not come with the adaptor !!
unless you want to spend about $110 you will lose your cruise control and also you will lose your airbag !!
Sifrino3 August 8th, 2004, 09:40 PM Cruise control is gone already. Sifrino is a drivers car. Why take the fun away? Well, f the horn its just nitrous. . . Airbag, what air bag. Hahaha
You want it?

Sifrino3 August 8th, 2004, 11:06 PM Check my site. Its two toned. I dunno, its perfect condition. One M7 owner to another. Make me an offer if you want it. Page Two!
How is the stock steering wheel held on?
JoshMcMadMac August 9th, 2004, 02:01 PM I put a Grant Challanger GT in mine. It's pretty simple to do, and as long as you get the proper installation kit, like Karl posted, you'll be sitting pretty. I don't know about not having a horn, though.
It might be a bit more difficult to do on a 90 due to the airbag though. I can't speak for that, as mine is a 1989.
Sifrino3 August 9th, 2004, 04:01 PM You think you may have to diable the air bag. Or something?

You will need to do that, unless you want to eat it hard when you try to pull the wheel. But the wheel might not attach to the column the same as the older styles. Just check and make sure that they sell an adapter kit for the 90+ Mark, and you should be OK.
Sifrino3 August 10th, 2004, 01:20 PM Mustang five ohhs have the same type with air bag. So, im sure they will have an adapter. . . I do not want to eat it. I hate air bags!

That would make sense, but don't bank on it. It's better to check on it first and make sure that there won't be any trouble, as opposed to getting half way into the column and realizing you have the wrong parts. But it shouldn't be any trouble. Just be sure to disconnect the battery for a decent amount of time before messing with the air bag, or you just might eat it! Be careful. ;)
Sifrino3 August 10th, 2004, 06:50 PM I will make sure I get the part before hand. So, I will not be back tracking. . . Thanks!

Whats the product number?
JoshMcMadMac August 11th, 2004, 07:59 PM Whats the product number?
I'm not sure if a Grant installation kit will work with the wheel you want, as the Grant kit is designed to include the horn. They are available through Summit, though, so give them a buzz and they can set you up. I want to say the Grant number is 3149.
Sifrino3 August 11th, 2004, 11:35 PM I e-mailed summit. Because they do not list Lincolns.
